One wacky plan

Definitely one of the weakest Laredo episodes where the three Texas rover boys descend into outright silliness in trying to rescue Juarista John Hoyt from the forces of Maximilian. Of course since Hoyt was on a mission to buy weapons in the USA and he was in their custody Philip Carey feels more than justified in sending them into Mexico on the Q.T.

The Juarista contact is Barbara Luna who Erik Wolders has some history with. Then again he has history with many. The rescue of Hoyt is one that never should have worked the way they did it.

Arnold Moss plays the Maximilian French general who likes his creature comforts no matter where he is.

One really stupid thing was the fact that because he owes Peter Brown a debt Neville Brand is walking it off literally by trying to break in Brown's new boots. Now maybe I'm being petty but if I were on a mission with Brand I'd have postponed that little task. A man with aching feet because of a tight boot fit isn't likely to be at his best.

Only for the show's strongest fans.
