Erik is investigating a series of bank robberies. When he finds that a circus is visiting each town when a bank is robbed, he decides to join the circus as a magician to find some clues. The female animal trainer Eve is suspicious of Erik but the circus owner Edmond Tolliver decides to hire him to keep Erik close. Erik notices that Tolliver moves to each city via hot air balloon as part of the circus attraction but no sign of the money can be found and the thieves generally break into the banks via the roof. Parmalee sends the other three Rangers to help. Their appearance does not stop the robberies and they are stumped as well. Eve overhears Chad and Erik talking so Tolliver decides to change their procedure. He keeps Chad with him as an alibi, Erik shot, and Joe with Reese stake out the wrong bank. Erik, who faked his death, and Joe find some clues that allow them to turn the tables on the robbers - plus Chad and Reese. Written by Anonymous
