Catlin Family Values

This Laramie episode concerns Sherman neighbor Ben Cooper and his wife Sue England who are trying to make a go of it as a farmer. But he has three half brothers who are the notorious Catlin brothers, outlaws wanted just about everywhere and for about everything.

The brothers are Michael Forest, Leonard Nimoy, and George Keymas. Keymas is wounded in their last robbery and the brothers decide to hide out at Cooper's farm much against his will. They even burn his wheat crop to make him go along with their plans for a few stagecoach robberies to get a stake to go to Canada.

Of course it all works out at the end and let's say that Cooper is lucky to have Slim Sherman as a neighbor. Didn't hurt to have him as an acting deputy sheriff either.

Nice performances by the ensemble cast. Interesting also to see Mr. Spock as an outlaw, Leonard Nimoy played many villains before Star Trek.

John smith is playing sheriff this episode and is worse than an old mother hen ... he's suspicious of everyone and everything ... michael forest plays one of the bad guys again like he did in 3 other episodes ... ben cooper plays his usual wimpy self and leonard nimoy and george keymas round out the outlaws ... sue england plays ben cooper's wife and is several months pregnant so they are coerced into aiding and abetting the crooks
