A wayward youth causes problems in Laramie.
24 August 2016 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In this episode, a rebellious young man, Billy, is causing problems in the town of Laramie. Billy has made some new friends with some vagrant cowboys by the name of Johnny and Samson. But these friends are even more problems for Billy since they have eye on breaking the law.

One evening the cowboys talk Billy into cattle rustling at the Sherman ranch. When it is all done Billy is spotted and Jess is going to issue a warrant for Billy's arrest. Daisy, in her usual grandmother ways, talks Jess into not signing but letting the youth work off the damage on the farm. Of course, it is not going to be easy for Billy. And with the two cowboys nearby, Billy is going to be tested.

Even though the plot was very predictable, the story was written well enough to produce an interesting tale. James Best, that played one of the cowboys, was outstanding in making his character so rotten that the viewer felt part of the story. Even with a very quick ending to the story, the episode held enough interest to make for an nice watch.
