Storyline

Money is a little tight at Sherman Ranch and Relay Station which forces Slim Sherman and Jess Harper to become mustangers to make ends meet. While catching mustangs they save Luke Gregg's life and Slim ends up offering Luke a spot at the ranch. There's something about Gregg that doesn't set well with Jess, especially when Gregg brings up something in Slim's past, about his involvement with Ed McKeever and what happened at Adobe Wells. Slim and Andy's trust in Gregg is matched by Jess' mistrust and causes dissension between them. When Mort Cory is shot and wounded Jess believes it was Ed McKeever because Mort was with Slim during the Adobe Wells incident. Slim heads to town when the wounded Cory sends for him prompting Jess to stay behind to protect Andy and his suspicions are proved when McKeever and his men show up to set up an ambush for Slim. With Jess and Andy out of commission, Slim will be walking into a trap. Written by DarSpi
