Storyline

Jess Harper's temper gets him in trouble again when he's framed for the murder of a rancher, John Gorman, who broke a contract to sell horses to Sherman Ranch. Jess took a punch at the owner's nephew Rink when he attempted to throw Jess off the ranch. Jess threatens to return to settle accounts with Gorman. Jess with a lame horse is tracked down by the Sheriff and a posse who wants to lynch him. Wounded and on the run from a posse, Jess lands in a nest of vipers when he finds refuge with Calvin Hawks and his gang. It's a precarious situation for Jess with part of the gang wanting him dead and part wanting to use him in their next robbery. With Jess branded an outlaw he must stay with Hawks' gang in their big bank heist just to stay alive and help Ginny Hawks, Calvin's blind daughter, and her mother escape the life that they've been forced to live. Now Jess has to foil the robbery and clear his name without losing his life. Written by DarSpi

Jess on the run

This episode of Laramie finds Robert Fuller buying horses on a ranch when the other party reneges on the deal. Later on said other party winds up dead and Fuller has a posse with a lynch mob on his trail and a bullet in his arm.

A fugitive he takes refuge in the mountain hideout of Lyle Bettger who was once a respected sheriff and now an outlaw. Bettger is a bitter man with wife Dorothy Green and blind daughter Jena Engstrom. He's got to join the gang in order to stay alive and he might not anyway since some of the rest of the gang ain't crazy about him.

Lyle Bettger who is best remembered for playing some psychotic villains on the big screen The Greatest Show On Earth and Union Station turns in a good performance as a more sane type individual even regretting somewhat the life he feels forced to lead. A different kind of Bettger.

Watch and see how Fuller gets the chance and takes it to break with the gang.
