Rod Cameron who made many guest star appearances on Laramie in this episode
plays a man recently released from prison who arrives at Sherman station with a
wounded marshal and a story that someone bushwacked them. John Smith does
not have good history with Cameron but he agrees to go along with him as the
marshal says he was to dig up some buried loot from a robbery he committed that got him locked up in the slammer in the first place.
They are joined by Cameron's stepdaughter Sandra Knight and the son of one of the other outlaws in on the robbery Dick Davalos. And then the whole lot of them are taken captive by yet another gang member Mort Mills who wants the loot for himself.
Cameron is a crafty one and this episode features a shootout in a foggy area that has geyser jet streams spouting out with steaming mineral water. It's rally quite nicely done.
Kudos to Cameron and to Mort Mills as a really nasty outlaw.
