Storyline

The cattle market is depressed which forces Slim Sherman and Jess Harper to hit the trail looking for a better place to sell cattle. They find themselves broke in the town of Agate, Nebraska in the middle of a brewing range war. They stop in the saloon for a meal noticing the town is very quiet learning the town buried their marshal that day. When they help the town mayor in a fight with a local cowboy, circumstances find them hired as the city marshals for a month at $100 plus a $25 bonus if they can stop the range war. This puts them between Terry Blake, the biggest rancher in the area, and the rest of the ranchers, her neighbors. It's a case of accusations and counter claims as Slim and Jess unravel the mystery of Terry's rustled cattle, putting them at odds with the very men that hired them. Men who would see the pair dead before they find out the full truth of what is really going on in Agate. Written by DarSpi
