Private bounty
bkoganbing1 January 2018
John Lupton is on the run in this Laramie story. Not from the law, but from a man whose son Lupton killed in a fair fight and has put a private bounty on him. And the bounty hunters keep coming. After Slim Sherman hires Lupton as an extra hand Lupton has to kill another to save Jess Harper.

Now this vengeful man sends two more, Russell Johnson and Lee Van Cleef. They have speed as both dispatch drunken and stupid Paul Carr who challenges them in a Laramie saloon.

Lupton gives a fine performance as a man on the run from a private vendetta and who wouldn't want to see Gilligan's "Professor" as a fast draw along with one of the great villains of all time, Lee Van Cleef.

the sheriff is always lame

The reason jess and slim have to fight all the outlaws off is the stuart randall as sheriff mort cory is weak and ineffective and has been from the show's inception ... both jess and slim are bullheaded and single minded ... russell johnson was never capable of playing anything but the sleezebag in westerns and vancleef wasn't much better ... this episode is dumber than most
