Three men blow a hole in the path across a small stream where the Laramie stage crosses it to trap the stage. Meanwhile, Norma Frances with her daughter Kathy have tracked her husband's horse to an abandoned ranch where they find his horse among others. Norma seeing the rickety well top decides to go for water herself but the old wood breaks letting her fall into the well with the winch on top of her. Kathy rides for help finding Slim, Daisy and Mike returning from Laramie. They become embroiled in a tense and dangerous situation when Kathy's plea to rescue her mother lands them in the midst of outlaws who've just robbed the Laramie stage. The outlaws return surprised to find everyone at the ranch. With no hope for help other than the outlaws, one of whom, Ben Frances, is the trapped woman's husband, Slim risks his life to keep Daisy and Mike safe, rescue the woman and foil the outlaws plans for the stolen money.
