Circus Episode & Balloon Episode
5 August 2006 | by See all my reviews

As far as episodes of "Land of the Giants" go, this was definitely one of the better ones, with the group getting caught with the intention of going to a circus, and they make their escape in a wonderfully looking makeshift balloon.

I'm looking over this episode as I type this, and now they are setting the cage on fire that they were held in.

Crafty little devils, aren't they? the circus people rip the canvas off of the balloon to allow the smoke to clear so they can find the little people and instead watch the balloon go off with their prize catches.

Have you ever tried to catch one of those little circus balloons full of helium? It can't be done.

It seems like there was at least one more episode with the little people in a balloon. I think the one where they were sailing north and finding the forbidden territory.

But this one is a top episode itself.

I suppose upon releasing the helium so they could land, the reason the balloon didn't swirl around real fast was because of the weight of the little people as well as the weight of the basket itself.

Funny how the helium didn't affect any of them, being that close on the mouth when Dan let the helium out of the balloon either.

A good episode, actually, and not the only one Land of the Giants had.
