Markowitz represents Alfred Youller, a veteran juggler suing his protégé, Ross Pettitt, for appropriating his routines and cutting him out of the act. When both sides are unwilling to back down, the lawyers come to a well known, retired juggler, named Rosco Zambini, to determine the case for them. Meanwhile, Halliday represents ballerina Erica Hastings, who is seeking to get out of her exclusive contract with a Alex Vedder, an egotistical, stubborn choreographer who won't use her.
