It was reported in a May 7, 1958 United Press release that Barbara Lord of Paterson, New Jersey, USA, a beautiful 20 year old actress, was fired from the cast of "The Outcasts of Poker Flat." Miss Lord gave a different version, saying her Roman Catholic upbringing conflicted with portraying a woman of loose morals. Four days before the broadcast another actress, Janet Ward, replaced Miss Lord as Duchess, a "lady of dubious character." See more »
