Dream on little dreamer
10 January 2013 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

One of the weirdest of Kojak episodes has Ruth Gordon and Andy Robinson as guest stars about a psychic and a serial killer whom she counsels. Not counsels as to how to do his murders, but for the little every day problems that psychotic murderers face.

It all starts with poor Stavros working the graveyard shift at Manhattan South getting a call from Gordon about a dream of a murder. Sure enough one that looks like what she describes gets phoned in and the Manhattan South Squad with Telly Savalas in command is on the job.

Robinson who is best known as the Scorpio killer in Dirty Harry has made a career of playing psychotics, rivaling Jeff Kober in that department. Here he's got a bad mother fixation because his mom was a loose woman and takes it out on the cougars of the world before that term came into usage.

Kojak was trying something different, but it just ended up weird.
