Storyline

A greedy businessman (Morton Tallman) commissions an arson, but his partner Nick threatens to tell the police if it happens. Tallman kills his partner and turns a large bookcase over his body, expecting the fire to cover his tracks. The ME finds a blunt instrument trauma to the head and no soot in Nick's lungs, proving he died before the fire. In spite of a young man's being identified as fleeing from the scene, Kojak is convinced Tallman is involved and sets out to find the evidence. It seems the fire is connected to a larger arson insurance scam, as well as some mob loans to businesses in trouble. Written by jeaneva

Rocco Plays A Guy As Tough-Sounding As His Name
2 February 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

A greedy businessman kills his partner and then sets the office on fire to cover his tracks.

However, the fire leaves some evidence that the victim was killed with a blunt instrument and Kojak slowly puts the pieces together while the schemer/murderer "Morton Tallman" continues to be a nasty dude. Alex Rocco is convincing in his role as "Tallman." He's the kind of guy who really want to see get what's-coming-to-him.

Erik Estrada is featured here as "Luis," one of the big suspects in this case, a guy seeing fleeing the scene. Estrada went on to TV stardom as the co-star on "CHiPs," that aired from 1977 to 1981. He is still acting.
