Ambitions and Appetites
21 June 2016 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

Before he became Captain Furillo, Daniel J. Travanti guest starred on this classic Kojak episode as another police captain this one working in the organized crime task force. The murder of an undercover cop working in that unit and undercover sets the Manhattan South Squad looking into Mafia Don Harold J. Stone.

As an actor Stone was always an asset either as a cop or a criminal in urban settings. He's got himself a nice young wife in Diana Hyland who has ambitions and appetites that it be better to be a wife of Henry VIII than a Mafia Don's wife if she were discovered.

That's what our undercover guy discovered. But the whole thing comes down on everybody through an act of a daughter thinking she's helping both the cops and her old man at the same time.

You have to see it to believe it.
