Storyline

The Foundation has accidentally developed a powerful new isotope, Cernium 116. Jennifer Knight, Wilton's daughter takes this opportunity to cut down on FLAG expenses. Rebuild terrorist Phillip Nordstrom kidnaps Devon and replaces him with a duplicate in order to extract the secret of K.I.T.T.'s Molecular Bonded Shell. Having found a way to neutralize it, Nordstrom unleashes his own super vehicle, the Juggernaut on an unsuspecting K.I.T.T. Without any resources to fall back on, Bonnie enlists the help from Chicaco crime fighter the Street Avenger (aka RC3) to help rebuild K.I.T.T. and give him a few new extras. Goofs

There are no mountains or hills in Chicago. The background of airstrip in final scene is not possible. The script says they are on airstrip near the loop. Meigs Field existed at the time of production. Three sides were surrounded by Lake Michigan, no hills, no wide open grounds, and no smoke stacks. See more »

Larger scale, but awful characters
3 March 2016 | by See all my reviews

Props to the producers for upping the game for the fourth season premiere. It's supersized, got that "TV movie" vibe, and they actually filmed it in the Windy City (as opposed to setting the story anywhere in the U.S. and filming it among the dirt roads and mountains of obviously-Los Angeles). Production values speak volumes. It's an episode of gimmicks, be it a new recurring cast member or a sweet new upgrade for K.I.T.T.

Sadly, those upgrades don't cover the villains as well, which are downright awful. Cluesless henchmen led by waxy-handed robot guy. It undercuts the "death" of a major character when it's at the hands of discount bad guys.
