Deacon asks Doug to come along to Atlantic City for a weekend. Carrie wants to go salsa dancing with Doug but concurs and they go to Atlantic City. However, Deacon has send a message that he won't be coming. Doug's boss on the other hand, did come to Atlantic City and Doug and Carrie don't seem to get rid of him. After reading an article that says a relationship needs tent poles, Carrie wants Doug to go Salsa dancing to celebrate the anniversary of their first date. Doug, "Salsa dancing? That's got split my pants written all over it." In the meantime, Deacon wants Doug to join him and his co-workers in Atlantic City on the same weekend. Carrie agrees to go to Atlantic City with Doug. They arrive at their hotel only to find everyone has canceled, except Doug's boss, Supervisor O'Boyle. Back home, Deacon has his own problems after another fight with Kelly. When Deacon does arrive in Atlantic City, he's alone and tries hard to forget his problems with Kelly.
