Hyacinth wanting to attract people to educate in the ways of elegant socializing runs an add in the paper for "experienced hostess offers her services for your special occasion". Obvious misunderstandings over the add lead her into an awkward situations with phone calls and later with her father. The Milk Man has a small side part in coming very early to the Bucket home with a younger man to teach him the ins and outs of not actually running into Hyacinth. Hyacinth comments that she doesn't understand why he comes so early these days and how she misses their little chats. Hyacinth, impatient for the paper to come bearing her add, repeatedly pops in and out of her house, making an escape for Emmet difficult. Emmet quips that she is "like a demented coo-coo clock". The paper boy avoids the Bucket house and we find out that Hyacinth made him clean his ears. Hyacinth ends up chasing him down the street after he spots her waiting on him. favorite quote Daisy: "what was it you liked about my pink one?"
