Emotional
evansjoshyr11 July 2021
This episode has had so much build up and the pay off is exceptional. Faye and eds backstory connect and link with one another for an emotional and heartwarming episode where both of their histories are explored in more depth than seen before.

We are going into the last few episodes now and I am not ready for it to be over.

See you space cowgirl...

So good it changes you

Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode and, this whole show in general, but for me, nothing in this show or in any show for that matter compares to the end of this episode. It's moments like these when art transcends its medium, reaches out and touches you. The build up to Ed and Faye leaving the group is perfect, you have a feeling it might happen yet when it does it's earth shattering. This story and world is so good you don't want it to end, but you know it has to and it couldn't be different. We have to follow our destiny and we have to belong and because we care about each other, we have to let each other be free, even if it breaks our heart(and it DOES) we love each other. I genuinely love these characters. The way the two girls leave without really saying goodbye is so real it cuts through me. As "call me call me" starts to play and the sun starts to set, we realize it's over for the group. We don't know what the new day will bring for these characters, and maybe we won't be there to see it all through, but we know it will be their decisions, their path and their life, and there's nothing more you could want for the people you love. I'm ready to do what they did. I'm ready to stand up and walk away from my past and be who I am, and live my life my way!

A bittersweet farewell for Ed and Ein Warning: Spoilers
The departure of Ed and Ein prior to the final two episodes of the series was the major sign of an imminent tragic conclusion.

As awesome the two-part finale was, this episode was also particularly memorable, as it is pretty much the "ending" of the "happy" part of Cowboy Bebop.

The final scene was one of most emotional moments of the whole series.

We'll miss you Ed

Warning: Spoilers
Ed was easily one of the best characters in this show, and even though she isn't the main focus for this episode, her departure feels earned, and it leaves an impact. This episode also nicely wraps up Faye's storyline in an interesting way that I didn't expect. While Faye does return in the following episodes, her resolution in this episode works so well that I would have been fine if she hadn't returned, but as is, it still works really well. Even Ein gets an emotional departure! In summary, this episode is an emotional one, and is probably one of the best in the series. I'll miss seeing Ed and her ridiculous nature, but I'm glad she had a nice ending. See You Space Cowgirl...
