Excellent

What a tasty episode. Maybe the only episode in which all the characters are equally important? Love the mystery, the tone is excellent, ambitious ideas and as always with bebop phenomenal execution.

I cannot get over little anyone cares about Edward its so funny. That being said, ed is probably my fav and she is particularly funny and jovial in this one - her and the dog are just so endearing lmao.

Nearing the End of Cowboy Bebop

Warning: Spoilers
It's clear from the very beginning that this is not your average Cowboy Bebop session. What starts off unsettling, gradually grows melancholic. Our lead characters are all shown at their most vulnerable yet, as they strive towards discovering the truth behind the mystery of the antagonist of this story. Thought-provoking, frightful, and tragic are merely a few words to describe this session. The reason being how true it is to real life. And the relevance of this session is why I believe this episode will stand the test of time.

Brain Scratch

Warning: Spoilers
Humor in the episode isn't its most essential factor. Ed and the ads on the TV provide some, but it's better to keep it low to protect the uncanny tone.

The villain, Dr. Londes, manages to feel like an extreme, threatening cult leader. Learning his entire identity being artificial makes a perfect example of the episode's main point.

The execution is also well-done. The dialogue feels above standards. The art style and the music feels carefully made. The characters also manage to feel like themselves.

Stories usually take problems of their time and make them the main point. That is a vital factor for becoming timeless. If I can't relate to the problem the story tells, I can't understand and enjoy it. At first, this episode may look outdated because there aren't many left watching TV. But if we look at it from a more comprehensive perspective, people manipulated by the media increased a lot and continue to. The point of this episode isn't outdated, and sadly I feel like it won't be for a long time.

This... this is beautiful

This episode addresses several pertinent situations at the end of the 90s, which are still extremely current and necessary today.

A beautiful episode, where all the characters are equally important. Where the villain, after all, is just another victim.

The soundtrack is on point, the animation is great, there are moments of comical relief, of course, but it is undeniable that this episode has a denser, heavier feel.

There's not much more that can be said without spoilers.

A timeless work of art, which should be seen more than once.

Cowboy bebop is, in fact, one of the most impactful anime ever produced.
