Hro Talak is an anagram of Hawkman's real name from the comics, Katar Hol. The name change was for several reasons: in the comics, Katar Hol is a good guy, and he's Hawkgirl's husband, and DC Comics did not allow the familiar Hawkman from the comics to be used because the character would act more like a villain than a hero. By creating a similar character but with a different name, the writers could make him a bad guy who's merely engaged to Hawkgirl. See more »
