Joey and the Roadtrip (#1.11)

Joey is going to Las Vegas to be a judge of Miss Southwestern USA. By mistake he hooks up with one of the contestants and tries to make it good by hook up with all the rest. Turns out Michael came there many times and he counts cards. He does it this time with his family but they get caught and banned from casinos.

A very good episode. It was fun to see Bob Saget in it, and he was very funny. Was also great to see Steve Schirripa, he was so well fitting to this part! Especially since after he has been on Sopranos and it is very understandable for us now why they were so scared of him! This scene was especially great.

This episode that sees Joey and the gang head to Vegas while Joey judges a beauty pageant is a mixed one for me, and suffers from a rather rushed ending.

It has its moments, but the whole plot of Joey having to sleep with all the contestants (or try to) to level the playing field having accidentally slept with one already was a bit silly.

I liked the scenes between Drea De Matteo and Michael though in their story, and perhaps would have liked more of that, without Joey's involvement. Surely the other gamblers would've noticed who Joey was anyway, no matter how hard he tried to pass himself off as 'Dusty from Texas'.

Not my favourite episode of the show.
