Joey is looking for an interior decorator. He hires Miss California (Candice), and they are about to start dating. Alex, who still hasn't told Joey about her feelings for him, wants to prevent him from going to Candice's place, so she plays poker with him. When Joey threatens to leave because he is losing, she invents new rules to Texas Hold'Em to make him win. Bobby convinces Joey to go on to "Celebrity Poker Showdown", competing for a charity Zach recently got him involved in, a center for young destitute boys. Ignoring the real rules to poker, Joey makes a fool of himself. In the meantime, Michael gets involved in several environment-related activities with Abby, but Joey is convinced he only does that because they haven't had sex yet. Written by Pruneau

Joey and the Poker (#2.7)
16 October 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Joey's interior designer is girl from a beauty pageant. She is also interested in him, so to keep them apart Alex invents a game of poker that Joey always wins. Only then he gets to go on Celebrity Poker and makes himself look stupid. And Michael does all the environmental things Abby does to get in bed with her.

Got a bad aftertaste from the episode. Old and lame joke, people who are annoying are of course vegan and care for environment because it is such a bad thing to do of course. And men who do it, only do it to impress woman, because why would a man care about environment and animals, right? Hard to like Joey (or Michael) in it.

The poker story seems like being taken from Friends where Chandler invents a card game to make Joey win. Celebrity poker scene was pretty good, it was enough not to make the episode be a total failure but was not enough to make it good.
