Storyline

Joey is frustrated his agent Bobbi can only get him parts that feel like a step back. So when Alex hosts an alumni meet from Northwestern University, attended by producer Steve Carpenter, he gets her to present him; Steve obviously believes in the old boys network 'mafia', thinks Joey is a fellow alumnus and as he pretends so arranges a serious movie part audition. Joey commits for the alumni activities, but is shocked when it's not the teenager part he felt ideal for, only the overprotective father. Michael and Gina convince him he's fit for a father part, but at the actual audition Joey feels his 'daughter' is too hot to think of as a, let alone his, child... Written by KGF Vissers

Joey and the Big Audition (#1.10)
8 October 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

Joey asks Alex to introduce him to a director friend of hers. When she does the director mistakenly believes that Joey went to the same university as him and gets him an audition for solidarity. So Joey has to pretend he went to that university. He is also attracted to the girl who is auditioning to the part of the daughter of his character.

The episode had some fun moments. I think my favorite part is Joey's audition with that girl he finds attractive. This seemed so wrong! Even though of course they aren't related. Gina giving him a kiss so he can feel why this is wrong was great as well. And him practising with Michael being his "big girl" was a great scene as well.
