At first louise and Florence are having problems getting Abbey to communicate, but she seems to like George and his loud personality, and George enjoys the hero worship. Since Abbey has left her bag with pajamas and toothbrush in Mr Curry's car, Louise and Florence want to take her shopping, but she wants to stay with George. So Florence and Louise leave George alone with Abbey who immediately begins to imitate him. But George really doesn't know how to communicate with a child, so he tries to play a board game with her but the game is complicated and George can't figure it out so he decides to play a game with Abbey that he does know, and decides to teach her how to play dice, while this is going on Mr Willis arrives with books for Abbey, while Willis is there, George as is his habit calls him a Honkey. George explains to Abbey that Honkey is a name that George calls White people. Abbey calls George Mr. G, which George likes, as probably nobody has ever called him that before. Mr Curry comes back with Abbey's bag, Abbey tells Mr Curry that they were shooting craps, which Mr Curry doesn't like, he says that Mr Jefferson is suppose to be setting a good example for Abbey. As Mr Curry turns to leave, Abbey says " Goodbye Honkey.' Abbey tells Mr Curry that Mr G taught her that. Which forces Mr Curry to take Abbey with him and leaves. George immediately regrets all his bad examples and kicks a teddy Bear across the room. At the Orphanage, Mr Curry and the head of the Orphanage are talking about George, Curry is unforgiving while Mrs Owen is more easy going, Louise enters and begins to apologize for what happened, Abbey is in the room and Louise goes over to talk to her but Abbey refuses to talk and is very sad, she is more withdrawn than ever. Louise tries to explain that George and Abbey were getting along great, Willis and George enter, George tries to show mr Curry, that he and Willis are such good friends that they can call each other names in good fun but it doesn't work out. Willis leaves, and Curry is unconvinced, Abbey comes out of the break room and is overjoyed to see George. George tries to explain to Abbey the mistake he made in calling Mr Willis a name he didn't really want to be called. He tells her that when he was growing up people use to call him names so he use to call them names back, it was just a way of hurting each other and it is the wrong thing to do. Abbey understands, and Mrs Owen after seeing the interaction decides that Abbey should spend the week with the Jeffersons after all, which makes everybody happy.
