Storyline

A vendor has placed an experimental torpedo and a civilian technician aboard a nuclear fast-attack submarine of the US Navy. After the boat fires the fish during an authorized exercise, the tech sends it on a mission of his own -- to shadow a cruise ship nearby until the US government pays a ransom. The JAG of the Navy sends Harm and a second lawyer, Ltjg. Meg Austin, to investigate and negotiate aboard the submarine. Mind games ensue. Meg, an expert in weapon and computer systems, eventually gets into the tech's laptop computer and the program by which he has controlled his torpedo. Harm and Meg save the day. Meg continues as Harm's new partner. Written by DocRushing

Trivia

Many of the external shots of the submarine, including the scene where Harm and Meg are lowered into the submarine, the torpedo being launched and the maneuvers in the attempt to trick Grover, are lifted directly from the film The Hunt for Red October. This is because the shows producers did not have the resources to film their own scenes, so they re-used footage and sets from other T.V. Shows and Films, throughout the series. See more »

Goofs

At the beginning of the episode we see several shots of the submarine underwater. When she surfaces in order to take aboard Lt Rabb the sail of the boat on the surface is different than the one shown in the underwater shots. See more »

Quotes

Lt. j.g. Meg Austin: I can decipher computer codes in as little as 30 seconds, sir.
Harm: And as long as?
Lt. j.g. Meg Austin: Three days, but that was in Chinese.
