Harm gives Mac a ride in his (and his father's) antique Stearman aerobatic biplane; the engine unexpectedly quits, so he must set her down off-field in a woodsy area in the Appalachian Mountains. Harm misses two appointments at the JAG headquarters, so Bud takes over for him. Meanwhile nearby three poachers shoot and kill a game warden; Harm and Mac encounter them while seeking help. One of the poachers opens fire; Harm and Mac escape into the woods, but they meet several challenges and difficulties. They remain overnight on the run and in the woods. Eventually they return to the aircraft, Harm repairs it, and they safely take off again. Written by DocRushing

User Reviews

One of the best episodes in the JAG series!
10 July 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Catherine Bell (Mac) and David James Elliott (Harm) were both outstanding in this episode! I was very impressed with her showing of emotions after the stabbing scene, when she was attacked and almost raped by one of the hunters. I also enjoyed the chemistry that Harm and Mac shared during this episode, as their friendship grew into a more intimate relationship once they began to learn more about each other's back stories. I also enjoyed the simplicity of the storyline and also how the Harm, Mac, and Bud characters all played essential roles in telling the storyline. Donald Bellisario (JAG director/producer/writer) did a great job on this episode. Because of that, it will always be one of my favorites in the JAG series along with: Defenseless (Season 3) Death Watch (Season 3), Lifeline (Season 6) and Adrift Parts 1 & 2 (Seasons 6 & 7). However, this was the break through episode for Harm, in that it finally showed how sensitive and caring for others Harm could be when necessary. Whereas in other episodes before this, he was always so self-centered and so concerned with himself that others didn't really matter to him, as he didn't make time for them. I really enjoyed watching this episode each time the reruns aired on TV, but now that I have the DVD collection, I can watch it whenever I want.
