On 15 Apr 1969, North Korea shot down an EC-121 with the loss of 32 or 33 men. Four aircraft carriers, 2 cruisers, numerous destroyers and support ships were sent to the Sea of Japan as a show of force. Other than that, there was no action taken. There has never been any reparations paid by North Korea for the loss of the plane or the men.
As of the end of 2020, USS Pueblo (AGER-2) is tied up in Pyongyang, North Korea as a museum and monument to North Korea's victory over the U.S. Pueblo is still listed as an active commissioned ship. This is due to the fact that the Navy carries all captured vessels as active.
