Dot invests in a marriage broker to find Mr. Right; Sonny's agent pairs him up with a female singer.
A mediocre episode that could have been so much better. Leslie Easterbrook was a good guest star but was wasted here. Go watch the LAVERNE & SHIRLEY episode (Season 7's "That's Entertainment") where she sings "Blue Moon" and you'll see what I mean.
A pre-SEINFELD Liz Sheridan plays the matchmaker lady and though her part is better and bigger than Leslie's, the jokes should have been funnier. It's still fun to see here in this, though.
Dot's story is one-note: She likes the guy but is ashamed of his profession as an exterminator. The best part of the episode is at the beginning where the gals throw a baby shower for Jan and Nancy gets nasty and calls Dot an old maid.
This was written by the same person who gave us the fabulous Season 5 episode about the tattooed lady, so it's particularly disappointing that this one falls short.
