Trivia

There was a kissing scene filmed with Robert Wagner and Marilyn McCoo. Probably because of early 1970s network standards and practices, the scene was cut from the final print. Ironic move since Wagner did give a brief goodbye kiss to Denise Nicholas in an episode from season two (It Takes a Thief: To Catch a Roaring Lion (1968)). See more »

Crazy Credits

End credits reprises the The 5th Dimension's performance of "Puppet Man" instead of the show's theme song by Dave Grusin. See more »

Music Videos way before there was an MTV.

This was Music Videos way before there was an MTV. The plot is wrapped around opportunities to showcase the Fifth Dimension in-studio performing several of their popular titles. The plot of the episode is featuring Marilyn McCoo (as a thinly veiled version of herself) in jeopardy and Alexander is assigned to guard her life. The sub-plots involve all the other members of the Fifth Dimension and some exotic plot twists that keep the action level high as expected.

All-in-all, a worthy effort to give Alexander a consuming interest and enough action to stand up to the rest of the series. An entertaining show for those unfamiliar with the series. Start here!
