This was a very enjoyable episode, primarily because of the amusing performance of Leslie Nielsen as Peter Justin, a long-time, high-end jewel thief. His performance was neither like his earlier, serious stuff, or his later, more comedic roles. He played a character that, while a thief, was a very engaging, charming one, who looked at life with a twinkle in his eye -- one who greeted and treated Ironside like a long-lost buddy. There were also two sets of characters with the younger one butting heads with the older. There was the cop who sees the jewel heist case as his chance to make lieutenant and does not want Ironside butting into "his" case. Then, there is Nielsen's protégé, who chafes against Nielsen's slow-&-steady teachings. It all makes for an entertaining, satisfying episode.
