This is the show where Ironside's paddy wagon (used for transporting criminals and used by him as an RV because his wheelchair can fit inside) is burned up in an explosion - a quick cutaway shot shows that the wagon was empty and rigged to crash and burn up (the better to throw the killer sheriff off his stride). Ironside would get a much snazzier, modern-looking van for the rest of the series, and in the last few seasons would sometimes drive his own hand-controlled automobile so he didn't need a chauffeur.
