Trivia

After Ironside tells Mark to copy down by hand a massive amount of information from a number of books, he goes to the assistant librarian to see about photocopying all of it instead. The sign on her desk shows that photocopies are 25 cents a page. The meaning of Mark's action is probably lost on today's audience but after adjusting for inflation, that's equivalent to a $1.75 a page, which would've cost Ironside a LOT of money. See more »

Thinking all the time
10 June 2013 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

The first mistake that Don Stroud and John Saxon made while crashing out of the Police Headquarter holding center was Stroud shanking one of the cops on duty fatally. The second was finding out that jail bars had now been placed on the vents from which he planned to escape. The third and worst of all was the two of them taking Chief Ironside hostage.

Not too many people would have acted as cool as Raymond Burr did in a hostage situation, especially after Barbara Anderson was also taken hostage. Still the Chief is thinking all the time and develops a cunning plan to recapture these two as they try to get past all the security in the building now.

Nice episode and you will like what Burr figures out.
