Trivia

Sly reference to crew member: At the beginning of Act IV (at around 40 minutes), Michael Tressider is taken to an Invaders laboratory disguised as a company called Sletnir Chemicals. "Sletnir" spelled backwards is "Rintels"--and is the last name of associate producer David W. Rintels. See more »

Narrator: [Act I Narration] A man toils late into the night - a man whose job is only a necessary delay in assuming his own self-assigned mission. But that mission - doing battle with the most dangerous enemy in the history of the Earth - may be resumed at any moment.

Knockout Two-Parter
23 August 2016 | by See all my reviews

A summit meeting intended for world leaders gets infested with "invaders" making trouble.

QM's The Fugitive (1963-67) series did a couple of two-parters that could not hold the quality for the whole 100 minutes (with the exception of The Judgement) but I am happy to report that both parts of Summit Meeting hold your attention from beginning to end. The military storyline resembles a first season episode that did this kind of story but with such a talented bunch of guest stars on hand in this hour (including Michael Rennie) I am in no position to complain.

It is too bad this was not released as a motion picture as two-part episodes of The Man from UNCLE (1963) were re-edited into movies and Irwin Allen was thinking about doing the same to his 1960s shows...but he had second thoughts.
