Morse is seen reading the 1974 anthology "The Debt to Pleasure: John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester" and reciting the lines "As trees are by their bark embraced / Love to my soul doth cling". The Rochester poem these lines come from does not appear in "The Debt to Pleasure".
