The Incredibly Strange Film Show: The Legend of El Santo (1989)
This British television show was hosted by Jonathan Ross and featured interviews with various "B" movie makers. When viewed today this series is all the more important because so many of the filmmakers are no longer with us.
This episode here is a pretty interesting one because it takes a look at the very popular Mexican series dealing with the masked wrestler El Santo. The episode also discusses his partner Blue Demon and the countless films that they made together. If you're unfamiliar with these films then this episode does a very good job at showing how popular they were in Mexico and how they eventually found their ways into America via really poorly dubbed versions. There are some nice interviews here with fans as well as Blue Demon. If you're a fan then you'll certainly enjoy this episode.
