Mr. Joe Fixit was the name Grey Hulk adopted in the comics when he was suppressing changing back to Bruce Banner and trying to live his own life as a Las Vegas leg-breaker.
Carl "Crusher" Creel is a long-time foe of the Hulk from the comic book who is well-known as the Absorbing Man. Despite this, he was never referred to as the Absorbing Man at all in this episode.
This episode is very loosely inspired by the story from "The Incredible Hulk" (Vol. 1) #347 - #348 by Peter David and Jeff Purves, the first story to feature the Grey Hulk using the identity Mr. Joe Fixit as he works as hired muscle in Las Vegas for mobster Michael Berengetti and ends up fighting Crusher Creel, the Absorbing Man, who works for another mobster from Detroit named Anthony Gold.
Crusher Creel wears a red suit and boulder hat in this episode. In the comics, Crusher (a.k.a. The Absorbing Man) is usually seen wearing a wife-beater tank top and no hat.
Ms. Allure is an original character that was created for the series and did not appear at all in the comics. However, she seems to take loose inspiration from the character named Mercy, the antagonist in "The Incredible Hulk" (Vol. 1) #338.
