She-Hulk has made two cameo appearances as a member of the Avengers in Fantastic Four: The Animated Series (1994) episodes To Battle the Living Planet (1995) and Doomsday (1996). However, "To Battle a Living Planet" would have to chronologically take place after this episode because:1) She-Hulk had just got her powers in the previous episode, 2) This episode chronicles She-Hulk's first time being in New York, and 3) The Thing wears his tank top, long pants and boots uniform which he rarely wore in "Fantastic Four" but did wear it in "To Battle a Living Planet". And though it aired after "To Battle a Living Planet", Nightmare in Green (1995) actually takes place before it because of the Hulk's appearance and the Thing is familiar with the Hulk/Bruce Banner and Rick Jones in this episode.
Chuck McCann and Beau Weaver reprise their roles of The Thing and Mr. Fantastic from "Fantastic Four: The Animated Series (1994)." Human Torch and Invisible Woman also make a brief appearance, but do not have speaking roles.
The script originally called for Bruce Banner to only deal with Reed Richards, but it was changed to shift the focus onto The Thing and She-Hulk.
In the comics, She-Hulk joined the Fantastic Four for a while after the first "Secret Wars", when the Thing took a leave of absence.
The hideous Ogress makes her debut and is voiced by Kathy Ireland, who played Medusa on the syndicated Marvel Action Hour Fantastic Four: The Animated Series (1994) series running from 1994-1996.
