Storyline

Jen is curious about the red door behind Roy's desk, which she has been forbidden to open - so she opens it and finds Richmond Avenal, a lonely Goth who was once Denholm's right hand man but fell out with him over the band Cradle of Filth and has been banished to solitary confinement. Feeling sorry for him she determines to restore him to his former glory and also helps Roy, who has become trapped under a woman's desk whilst trying to sort out an IT problem. Moss meanwhile finds that having his face on the bottom of his new mug does not prevent it from being stolen like his old mug. Written by don @ minifie-1

Trivia

Richmond's real name is shown to be "Richmond Avenal". See more »

Goofs

A possible goof is when Richmond gives Denholm's mother a Cradle of Filth CD, he recommends track 4 and says that it is called "Coffin Fodder". Coffin Fodder is in fact track 9 on the album "Nymphetamine". However The CD Richmond proffers is not identified because it's gift-wrapped, so it's perfectly possible that the CD is a compilation that Richmond has made. There's no explicit identification of the CD as a copy of Nymphetamine. See more »

Roy: What?
Moss: Guess.
Roy: Your eyes? Something wrong with your eyes.
Moss: What? No, I have a new cup. What's wrong with my eyes?
Roy: It's not very distinctive, is it? How's anyone supposed to know it's yours?
Moss: There's a picture of me on it.
Roy: ...No there isn't!
Moss: Yes, there is.
Roy: No, there isn't Moss.

What lays behind the red door?
20 November 2015 | by (Swansea, United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Moss has a new mug, but it's blank. Jen wants the boys to clean their office up, it's a typical IT space, full of mess. Jen wants to know what hides behind the mysterious red door, and when the boys leave the Office she's straight in. She gets a shock and discovers a man in there, a tall, mysterious goth who's been in there for four years, he is Richmond Avenal, a previous high flier who's career failed when he became a goth.

'Goths are people too!'

I loved the scene of Roy fixing the computer and ending up marooned between two girls under the desk, hilarious. I also loved the homage to From beyond the grave with the door.

Great episode, Noel Fielding was really funny, what a quirky performance. He's so funny, glad it wasn't too long before he returned.
