Alan is due to host a show at the hotel entitled 'An Afternoon With
Alan Partridge' with special guest star Sue Cook. Alas Sue drops out
and Alan is forced to do the whole thing alone, discussing various
subjects as terrorism. A pair of Irish television executives - played
by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews ( creators of 'Father Ted' ) are
in the audience. Afterwards, they go back to the house of Jed Maxwell (
Ian Sharrock ), who claims to be Alan's biggest fan. Unfortunately, the
man is also a fruitcake...
Another great episode, a bit like 'The Germans' instalment of 'Fawlty Towers' in that Alan cannot talk to two Irish men without mentioning the Potato Famine and the I.R.A., subjects he knows nothing about.
Funniest moment - Alan finds himself in a room covered in Partridge memorabilia. Jed closes the door and pulls off his shirt, revealing a detailed tattoo of Alan's face on his chest.
