Tony's old flame leaves Jeannie simmering
kevinolzak20 November 2016
"Who Needs a Green-Eyed Jeannie?" opens with Tony trying to sneak out on the ever present Jeannie, who imprisons him in his own living room rather than see him go out with 'Charlie Susie.' A phone call from a male voice claiming to be Susie transforms the jealous genie into a far more accommodating one, exactly what her master had in mind due to his intention to spend the next evening on a date with an old flame, Joan Sheldon (Joan Patrick). Dependable Roger proves less than dependable, spilling the beans about Tony's little deception, so as Joan begins to sip her glass of champagne she instantly becomes a slurping chimpanzee, one of the series' funniest bits. Having 'made a monkey out of her,' Tony threatens to leave Jeannie, so she gives in and allows a second date with Joan, who turns out to be not only married but to a mobster (Ted de Corsia) who has just escaped from prison. Some bachelors never change!

Tony Almost Does it to himself again

Warning: Spoilers
It seems every time Tony has any thoughts of someone other than Jeannie she puts the competition out with a blink. This time he enlists Charlie Susie too try and plot Jeannie out of inter fearing in order to meet an old flame named Joan. She turns out to have an idea of her own in order to ditch a package of her husbands.

The results are a danger to Tony, and he is in hot water quickly. It takes 2nights and a and with 2 guns who is his flames jealous husband to make Tony see the errors in his plan. The jealous Jeannie shows up some more later in the show but this one shows her claws pretty well. Of course why anyone would want to ditch their own lady in a bottle is a mystery to me. She is all anyone needs, and then even more.

Charlie starts showing Hagman as JR.
