Jerry Quarry was a heavy weight champion contender in 1967 after Muhammad Ali had been stripped of his title for refusing induction into the military and had an impressive lifetime record of 53-9-4 with 32 KOs. In later years he suffered from dementia pugilistica due to repeated blows to the head and passed away on January 3, 1999.
