The ultimate Dr. Bellows freak out
kevinolzak12 November 2016
"Permanent House Guest" is one of the most celebrated episodes, Dr. Bellows again in hot water with General Peterson, all because he saw an elephant in Tony's bedroom: "doctor, what would an elephant be doing in Major Nelson's bedroom?" The general walks in and naturally sees nothing out of place: "under the bed?" This time the long suffering doctor is determined to catch Major Nelson in the act by moving in with him. Disguised as houseboy Pedro (Romo Vincent), Jeannie learns about Tony's permanent house guest and spends the rest of the night driving him bonkers. Her smoke, bottle, heavy breathing, and dive bombers manage to convince the poor doctor that Major Nelson lives in a haunted house, rushing off before the Indians can gather for another attack! The absolute best example of Dr. Bellows getting into trouble with General Peterson is the second season's "Greatest Invention in the World," featuring a cameo from Groucho Marx.
