Dr. Alfred Bellows finally cracks up
4 November 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"Anybody Here Seen Jeannie?" finds Captain Nelson anxious to conduct tests for his upcoming space flight, Jeannie determined to go with him no matter what. Needless to say, Dr. Bellows remains baffled at such a fine physical specimen like Nelson hearing voices and seeing things that aren't there. Jeannie has a blink for each test, poor Dr. Bellows unable to believe his ears, concluding that the Captain doesn't need a capsule to go to the moon! With her master furious at her interference, Jeannie pays a visit to the doctor's office to ensure that he loses his sanity just trying to enjoy his nightly meal. Dabney Coleman here plays a lieutenant, later a captain in "The Mod Party," while Davis Roberts, hilarious as quack Dr. Caldwell on SANFORD AND SON, has a suggestion for the ailing Bellows: "would you like a doctor, doctor?"
