When doing a brain MRI, doctors need to put a special piece over the head to show the intersections of the brain so that, if something does show up, they have an accurate idea of exactly where it is; however, House's team does not use one when they give Elise an MRI to see if there is a tumor. When Elyse falls into a coma in front of Cameron and Ed (Elyse's husband), three wire leads and her oxygen tube cross over her left shoulder and up over her pillow by her head, but when the camera does an overhead shot of Elyse, they follow the bottom of the pillow on top of her shoulder.
