In the two times that Ralph gives the vacuum cleaner the "oatmeal test," there is no suction whatsoever. Yet, when he puts the nozzle to his mouth to blow out an obstruction and Norton turns the machine on, the suction is so strong that Ralph can't pull his lips from the nozzle.
