Storyline

When a police officer is found shot to death, Elizabeth Wu writes an article praising his dedication to the job. An informer calls her with a contradiction: the cop was shot when he demanded his money back in a dope deal. Her source later reveals that he was the shooter but claims self-defense. Meanwhile Kellerman's rogue brothers show up and he winds up in a jail cell with them. Lewis and Julianna to the rescue. Written by jeaneva

Farcical
25 October 2013 | by See all my reviews

I have nothing against lighter comedic moments in a cop show, but Homicide's trademark gallows humor is one thing, this farce is another. Remember Trapped in Paradise, that comedy with Nicolas Cage on the run with his idiot criminal brothers John Lovitz and Dana Carvey? Here we have a similar premise, with Kellerman (Reed Diamond) in the Cage role.

The other storyline focuses on a journalist, Elizabeth Wu, who deals with a case followed by the Homicide unit, proving to be resourceful but not really up for the major league. Interesting idea, average execution.
