Did You Know?
After it was announced that colour television broadcasts would commence in Australia in early 1975, Homicide became the second Crawford Productions series to be produced in colour when it made the switch in October 1972. The first was private eye series Ryan
(1973), which used colour from the beginning of its production in July 1972. The two other police drama series being produced by Crawford Productions at the time would also change to colour production the following year, with Division 4
(1969) making the change in January 1973, followed by Matlock Police
(1971) around March or April 1973. See more
