"There's no point putting off till tomorrow what you can do tonight"

With Tom and Pippa excluded from the main plot line, there's a nice attempt to give them some screen time here.Their desperate attempts to find time alone, thwarted by an oblivious Bobby, their "date" in the caravan and Pippa's chat with Bobby are all good material, although the scenes with the Barlows seem a bit redundant.

The main focus though is on the aftermath of Carly being raped... although, as will become common with this show, the word is never actually used, meaning you have to concentrate hard to realise she hasn't "just" been mugged. The teens' bumbling attempts to deal with the situation are believable with Frank's family conference on the subject being well-meaning but doomed to fail.Acting caveats go out to Sharyn Hodgson, who plays Carly as fragile but determined to deal with things her own way even when freaking out at Matt or Martin, and Helena Bozich, filling Lynn with a quiet, confused empathy at what her friend's going through.
